Stage 2 Opening July 6 - Both Pools now Open!
The Multi-Use Pool will be opening July 6th! The MUP is the 0 depth wade in pool with the spray features that is ideal for little swimmers!
Reservations are still required to swim. Call us the day of and we will reserve for you or plan ahead and make a reservation a few days out! Go to www.hermistonpool.com to reserve and more info!
Face coverings will be required when entering the lobby (for your safety!). Face coverings are NOT allowed in the water (for your safety!).

HFAC will be opening under pandemic operational guidelines. We are excited to welcome our patrons back and we ask you to familiarize yourself with the new policies we have put in place. It is the utmost priority to keep our patrons and staff safe. HFAC will initially open under limited access and may expand as we progress into the season. State guidelines/restrictions must be followed in regards to Pool Operations and Employee Considerations.
HFAC will open in a series of stages, future stage information will be released at a later time. Stages may change without notice.
Stage 1: June 24-July 4
Hours Open: 11am – 7pm
Reservations must be paid in advance to swim. Maximum of 6 pre-registered members in your swim group.
Pool time is by reservation only (must be pre-paid). Extremely limited space due to capacity/social distance restrictions.
Open Swim Zone: $5 per person + $2 reservation fee (Limited to group of 6 people (90 min)
Lap Swim: $5 per person Limited to 1 person (50 min)
Covid-19 Risk Assumption
By entering the Hermiston Family Aquatic Center, you understand the possibility and risk of participating in aquatics activity that may cause you to come in contact with Covid-19. The City of Hermiston cannot guarantee that you will be safe from Covid-19.
Additional HFAC Facility Rules & Operations
The Hermiston Family Aquatic Center is operating under the following conditions:
1. The Front Desk will not be accepting in-person reservations. No monetary transactions will be accepted.
2. Locker rooms are not accessible. Two family bathrooms will be open for use. It is advised to come changed and ready to enter the water.
3. Social distancing protocols are in effect. Members in the same group can participate in activities together and do not have to stay six feet apart. A group = patrons in the same swim zone.
4. Water fountains will not be operational. It is advised to bring your own water.
5. Masks are not required, and may NOT be worn while in the water.
6. Concessions will not be available.
7. This is the first time opening under a pandemic, please be understanding of the changes and be willing to be flexible to meet the needs of our staff and other patrons. Bring staff a Kit-Kat and give ‘em a break!

HFAC Opening Timeline
April – May: Under normal circumstances, returning staff would be going through trainings, new staff would be hired on and trained. Pool would be cleaned, prepped and water filled by mid-May with anticipated opening Friday after school releases.
June 6: Umatilla County enters Phase II. Pools are allowed to open under State restrictions. Prior to June 6, no information was given on status of pool openings. https://sharedsystems.dhsoha.state.or.us/DHSForms/Served/le2351C.pdf
June 8-11: Cleaning, prepping pool systems. Preparing/cleaning deck and lobby. Dry trainings for staff via Zoom.
June 12-23: Pool filled and systems/operations checks. Water heating and chemical balancing. In water training for returning staff.
June 24: Pool is open to the public under State restrictions.
